Return of the prodigal son. And the resultant impending doom. A dark movie thats set in a religious Texan town and how the top church family is infiltrated by a virus - of sin. Good performances that make it fairly a distant, bleak movie.Rating: * * +

My take:
Elvis (Gael García Bernal) gets out of the US Navy and decides to look up his father who abandoned him as a child. The father David (William Hurt) after being "saved" is now a pastor in a small town living happily with his family. David refuses to acknowledge Elvis who is not easily deterred. In a sick turn of events he ingrates his way into the family fold. A film that leaves you troubled and shocks you at every turn.
