Lantana

Sex and deceit rule the lives of the characters in this film. They lie to themselves and their spouses. But in the end they are only human. Director Ray Lawrence throws pieces of a jigsaw puzzle at you. The seemingly easy puzzle starts to come together as the film progresses. But in the end they don't fit so well which is what makes this film so beautiful.

What is this with the leading ladies wanting to play characters that fall for a young boy. But this ones interesting - Nicole Kidman sees her dead husband in a 10-yr old boy; destroying her impending marriage and mental state. Is the boy really Sean her ex-husband? Or is it just her willing?

A dark film and made very well that way - disturbing. And yes, Nicole Kidman continues to remain right up there with the best, playing a disturbed pyscho again.
