Killer Elite

Jason Statham can keep making Transporter like films until kingdom come. This one is an addition to the list. Robert De Niro must be facing hard times to be playing Statham’s character Danny’s mentor Hunter in the film. When Hunter is taken captive, Danny is forced to hunt former British agents down in return for Hunter. This puts the mysterious Spike (Clive Owen) on his tail. Ensemble cast aside there is very little in the film as it winds down predictable roads in a boring terrain.

Children of Men

It is the year 2027 and humanity is infertile. Mankind has forgotten the sound of a child crying. The playgrounds are silent. The only music around is despair. The movie is about what happens when there is a ray of hope in this bleak landscape.

The bleakness of the landscape is reflected in the eyes of Clive Owen who has outdone himself. The ray of hope is seen in the smile of Michael Caine.

Inside Man

Theres a good guy and a bad guy. But they are both good. And as always in such cases, theres a bad bitch in between. Hiding. One keeps hoping that the good good guy and the good bad guy doesnt cross paths more than necessary. While the bad bitch gets sorted out appropriately. And one keeps wondering till the end.
